Yet One More Dirty Cop Frequenting the Dirty Five-Two

briggs and 201, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Wed, Nov 03 2010

Main_post_21575 Ribbon_invalid

We haven't seen this guy before. It's yet one more dirty cop frequenting the Dirty Five-Two. This corrupt precinct welcomes one and all of the dirty cops in the NYPD to come park illegally. No worries about somebody enforcing the law up here!

Parked in the crosswalk? Routine in the Dirty Five-Two.

Parked too close to the fire hydrant? Hey, what's the Dirty Five-Two care if yet another building burns to the ground? It's been over a year since the Halloween Fire took out half of Bainbridge Avenue.

Using a placard that wasn't even issued to the vehicle that's using it? You won't see the Dirty Five-Two do anything about it.

You see, if you want to break the law, all you have to do is advertise that it's your job to enforce the law. They have no shame - they have no problem at all showing everybody that they're the ones breaking the laws they're paid to enforce.

Here's another vehicle parked illegally in the NO PARKING ANYTIME zone outside St. Brendan's.

It's a repeat offender:
http://nyc.uncivilservants.org/post/index/14625
It's parked in the exact same spot, at the same time it was previously observed breaking the law. And yet, the Dirty Five-Two can't seem to enforce the law?

Apparently they have not yet given up their evil ways! Will they ever see the light (before they're shown the door)?

Double Standard in the Dirty Five-Two

decatur and e 207, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Sun, Oct 24 2010

Main_post_21368 Ribbon_hazard

At 9:15 pm, a private vehicle was observed parked 5 feet from a fire hydrant, using an NYPD placard from a different precinct to avoid being ticketed. (Reminder, the LAW requires 15 feet from a fire hydrant.)

This fact was called into 311, with complete details to identify the vehicle (make/model/license plate...). At 10:38 pm, the precinct closed out the complaint, stating: "The Police Department responded and upon arrival those responsible for the condition were gone."

But they weren't gone. The vehicle was observed in the exact same location at midnight.

Then it was observed again, STILL there at 7:50 am. At this point, it was joined by another illegally parked private vehicle. This second vehicle did not have a placard. It was ticketed, even while the vehicle ILLEGALLY using the NYPD placard to park ILLEGALLY was STILL not ticketed.

The Dirty Five-Two came to this location TWICE, observed an ILLEGALLY parked vehicle, and REFUSED to take the action their job requires. THIS IS THE JOB WE PAY THEM TO PERFORM!

This double standard is unethical. It is illegal. And it is SHOCKING, since this precinct is ALREADY UNDER INVESTIGATION for screwing around with parking tickets!

When you're under investigation for doing something wrong, and you decide to keep doing it wrong, you can't blame anybody for the consequences. These guys can have no complaint when they are finally HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Confessing in the Dirty Five-Two

The dishonest cops so busy breaking the law with impunity within the confines of the Dirty Five-Two have a lot to confess. Unfortunately, I don't think that's why these guys keep parking illegally outside St. Brendan's.

So, here we go again this morning. Even with the Dirty Five-Two under investigation, they're driving by illegally parked cars nobody could possibly miss... without ticketing them.

The sign NO PARKING ANYTIME is clear to everybody. It's obvious nobody else is parking there. You can't drive by without this vehicle sticking out like a sore thumb... Oh, and this location has been reported to the Dirty Five-Two as a problem more than once.

But apparently if you're an officer in the Dirty Five-Two, the corruption runs so deep you WILL drive by WITHOUT DOING YOUR JOB... even while you KNOW YOU'RE UNDER INVESTIGATION for screwing around with parking tickets!

The dirty cops who won't do their jobs, who just steal our money, can't be fired fast enough!!!

The Dirty Five-Two Strikes Again!

perry and holt place, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Mon, Oct 18 2010

Main_post_21292

Parked in a NO PARKING ANYTIME zone in the Bronx, with a Restricted placard from Queens Vice? That doesn't make any sense. Officers don't report to the corner of Perry and Holt Place to begin their shift in Queens Vice. I sure hope Vice officers are intelligent enough not to use an NYPD placard while they're on "official business."

And... Gee... This car sure looks familiar...

Maybe that's because it was already caught parking illegally IN THIS SAME SPOT just a few months ago:
http://nyc.uncivilservants.org/post/index/13494

But here we are, back again, with a dirty cop breaking the law while the Dirty Five-Two turns a blind eye.

Just how is it that nobody from the Five-Two managed to issue the necessary summons? This is, after all, a conspicuous location. And this is, after all, a location that has been brought to their attention repeatedly. And this is even a vehicle that has been reported to them, for illegally parking in this exact spot.

How is it that they managed to drive by all day long, and not issue a ticket? I don't think they're that inattentive. I really do think they're smart enough to understand this issue too.

The only explanation that makes sense is that they're just so corrupt they really think they're going to get away with this collusion to steal a few extra benefits. They think they have the power to allow their buddies to break the law with impunity. Who cares about BREAKING THE LAW, right? Who is going to do something about it? The cops? They're the cops!

Well, we ARE a nation of laws. We are the country that allows citizens to make arrests. And THIS community will not tolerate this type of corruption.

Some advice: park legally, and ticket EVERY vehicle that is not legally parked. Or go find a new job!

Be aware, we're not going away - WE LIVE HERE. Sure, you can keep breaking the law for a little while, but THE LAW will eventually come for you!

Juxtaposition

So, here is a dirty NYPD cop, using his Restricted NYPD placard (from another precinct, no "official business" in sight, far from any police house...) to park illegally. Of course, he's parking illegally as a copy in the Dirty Five-Two, so they do NOTHING.

As ALWAYS, the cops here in the Dirty Five-Two did not ticket the vehicle. Even after residents talked to them IN PERSON about this EXACT location. Even after it was called into 311.

(Location is signed NO PARKING ANYTIME because it must remain clear for emergency vehicles to be able to turn the corner. A fire earlier this year burned the supermarket to the ground. Dirty Five-Two just doesn't care about our safety, or enforcing the law, or obeying it...)

Meanwhile, at THIS SAME SPOT, just this week, the honest officers from the MTA Police have arrested a guy for using a stolen placard.

That's right. The MTA Police made a special trip to enforce the law after the matter was brought to their attention. Meanwhile, the Dirty Five-Two can't be bothered to stop the car while they're ALREADY driving by, even after multiple discussions with the local community.

The difference between the REAL HEROES and the Dirty Five-Two couldn't be more clear!

Cretans of the 19th Precinct Continue Placard Parking Abuse

Continued parking placard abuse by those charged with enforcing the law.

These self-centered hypocrites prove that parking rules are simply a revenue source for a mayor with no new ideas.

The city council seems good with providing a third term for a Lord Farquard Mayor and a two button toilet but can't seem to manage to get the police to obey the law.

Working overtime AT BREAKING THE LAW in the Dirty Five-Two

333 E 206th Street, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Mon, Oct 04 2010

They're working hard here in the Dirty Five-Two... working hard at breaking the law, that is!

Parked in a NO PARKING ANYTIME zone, nowhere near any precinct, no police activity in sight, no excuse whatsoever to use an NYPD Restricted placard in a totally different precinct. And, as always, not ticketed by the corrupt cops at the Dirty Five-Two.

Let's be clear. Let's speak the TRUTH. When you see several personal vehicles parked illegally, proudly displaying their illegal use of NYPD Restricted placards, and the precinct does nothing about it day after day, they are telling everybody THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE LAW.

These dirty cops could care less about enforcing the law. They like being in charge. They like giving themselves special privileges the law does not give to them.

But, we're the ones who pay them. And we pay them to ENFORCE the law, not BREAK it.

It's time for the people breaking the law to be held accountable. If they park illegally, they should be fired. If they refuse to ticket their buddies when their buddies are breaking the law, they should be fired too.

If you won't do your job, we'll find somebody else who is honest enough to actually get the job done!

Markings are clear, even if he can't read!

Maybe it was too hard to read the bright red sign that said NO STANDING ANYTIME?

With the clear pavement markings, there's no way he couldn't tell this was not a legal parking space.

This is not a self-enforcement zone, so the NYPD Restricted placard is not valid. There was absolutely no police activity in the area, so there's no rationalization that the officer was "responding" to an incident.

This was early in the evening, and there were several legal parking spots around the area, so the lame excuse that it's too hard for the police to obey the law when they get home late doesn't even apply.

There is no conceivable excuse. This is laziness and arrogance at its worst.

Dirty cops like this give all the other hardworking cops a bad name. But then again, the Dirty Five-Two allow this behavior to happen, by refusing the enforce the law when it comes to their buddies.

AND THIS IS A CHRONIC LOCATION THE COMMUNITY HAS MONITORED AND DISCUSSED AT LENGTH WITH THE PRECINCT FOR OVER A YEAR!

Shame on all these crooks. We are paying them, and they are not doing the job. Fire them already!

And s/he is using somebody else's restrict placard.

And there's not even a Precinct nearby (nearest one is on 30th St., and that's too far).

Double Your Tax Money in the Dirty Five-Two

rochambeau and e 206, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Tue, Sep 21 2010

Main_post_20919 Ribbon_hazard

Wow!

Sometimes I think they have a competition going on up here to see who can violate the most laws in public or something.

This is a private vehicle (with some really lame specialty plates) using a Restricted placard from an entirely different borough. Somehow, he managed to park illegally at the hydrant AND in the crosswalk, simultaneously.

No vehicle of an honest, tax-paying citizen would be spared from either of these violations with our ticket-happy NYPD. They just don't like to follow the law they enforce on everyone else.

So, as always, the Dirty Five-Two did not write a ticket. We'll just have to wait for IAB to catch up to him.

Waste of our tax money, though. We have to pay an honest cop in IAB to do the work that another dirty cop at the local precinct was already paid to do!

There it is... if you want to complain about your taxes, here is a clear example of how the NYPD steals your money!

And there is absolutely no excuse for this insulting laziness. This was clearly not official business of any type - there was no police activity on the block, nor is this near any precinct.

Not that it matters, but it wasn't even late when this vehicle parked (it wasn't there when I walked by earlier, so it parked between 6 and 9:30 pm). I passed other LEGAL spaces that were available only 2-3 blocks away on Mosholu Parkway.

These dirty cops just like to show off that they *think* they don't have to follow the law. Do they think they look cool stealing our money, and spending it on fancy cars that they leave at illegal and dangerous locations they view as their personal parking spaces?

Of course, they are not above the law. They'll have to learn the hard way when IAB tracks down their supervisors.

Dirty Five-Two Still Putting Us at Risk

kossuth and 208th, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Sun, Sep 12 2010

Main_post_20807 Ribbon_hazard

The Dirty Five-Two is still letting their buddies block fire hydrants, putting the lives of neighborhood residents at risk.

They are not protecting our community. They're just using our neighborhood as their personal parking lot, even when it puts us in danger.

This personal vehicle was using a restricted placard from another precinct on a residential street where there was clearly no "official business." Observed at 1:15 am, there were still 2 available parking spaces on Mosholu Parkway too - the individual who blocked this hydrant broke the law as a matter of sheer laziness. There is no excuse.

Fire the criminals, before somebody dies in a fire!

Who Enforces the Traffic Enforcement Division?

e 206th and perry, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Wed, Sep 01 2010

Main_post_20721

Here's the personal vehicle of someone who has a restricted placard from the Traffic Enforcement Division.

This vehicle is not being used for any official business to enforce traffic regulations. It is just habitually breaking them itself!

This is not a restricted parking zone. This does not remotely look like a place where someone would report to work for the Traffic Enforcement Division. And this is not the first time we have observed this vehicle illegally parked in this area.

It's just laziness, and arrogant corruption.

There is usually a parking space available any time of day or night on Parkside Place. There is ALWAYS parking available on Webster, not more than 4-5 short blocks away.

This guy just believes he can get away with it. Why not? His buddies here in the Dirty Five-Two have been letting him!
