How do they do it?

This was on Broadway at 70th today. No money in the meter. No precinct or emergency nearby. Keeps the decal under the seat and tosses it up their to run errands.

I do not know about the seaworthiness of the placard. I just know its official abuse of privilege.

Cadillac Escalade from Maryland has expired permit

Across from Ladder 20 on Lafayette Street and in front of a parking lot sits this huge new Cadillac Escalade SUV displaying a permit "Federal Law Enforcement City of New York" that expired on February 1. The vehicle displays temporary tags from Maryland on rear plate. Perhaps it belongs to a federal officer who just bought this Escalade in Maryland and forgot to renew his permit five months ago?


US Parks Police in No Stopping Anytime

So, while it may be possible to imagine what official business the US Parks Police would have in this gritty section of downtown Brooklyn, it seems like a stretch. Even then, no permit allows parking in No Stopping.

Parks his personal vehicle in a "no standing anytime" zone overnight all the time! He and his other illegally parked buddies make it difficult to turn around on this cul-de-sac.
