243 e 84th st, Manhattan. Observed by UES11 on Sat, Apr 19 2008
The perpetrator was parked illegally in front of a fire hydrant. he saw me taking photos and he tried to get my personal info to scare me telling me i wasn't allowed to take photos of his car and threatening to report me (for what i don't know). he knew he was doing something he shouldn't have and his reaction was indicative of this. this type of blatant disregard for parking rules by city employees is contributing to the congstion problem and the fact that parking police allow them to get away with it is making it worse.

Big Time Abuser
217 East 70th St, Manhattan. Observed by PSI - Parking Scene Investigation on Mon, Jan 07 2008
As of today this car is still at the same spot it has been for months without moving. I understand that he has handicap permit but this does not give him the right to park at one spot for days, weeks and months. I thought this permit allowed you to park anywhere to go to the store, see a doctor or do errand. This person thinks that this parking spot which is for postal vehicle is his exclusive parking spot. Postal vehicles can't park so they double park which causes cars to be backed up. There has been complaints to the 19th Pct. concerning this with no avail. Can anyone out there stop this abuser?
Thank you
car alarm from 5:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Franklin St. and Broadway, Manhattan. Observed by report1 on Tue, May 29 2007
Car alarm nuisance from 5:00 a.m. to time of this complaint. Call to precinct and then call to 311 (that transferred me to 911) was not effective in correcting nuisance, alarm persists.
Secondary issue, and perhaps first from your perspective is what appears to be a fake or unathorized permit.
Parking infront of Church
3 Henry street, Manhattan. Observed by folt4 on Tue, Apr 17 2007
He tells the church that he is a judge and that if they complain and he gets another ticket no one will park there! He parks in the pastor's spot all the time. The church is the Oldest Baptist Church In Manhattan and he doesn't care for clergy.
Court Officer Non-Enforcement on Howard Street

Court Officers ignore film shoot no parking+ No parking anytime, all with union issued placards. Where is the enforcement?
Elderly people will not deter me.
13 Crosby Street, Manhattan. Observed by CrosbyMerchant on Thu, Mar 15 2007
Ambulette space in front of Dialisis Center obstructed by Court Clerk. Most of these patients are elderly and many use walkers. For them there is a difference between being able to step directly onto the sidewalk or being put out in the middle of the street becasue the ambulette space is obstructed.
Court Clerk loves parking by Olive Garden
62 West 22nd Street (opposite), Manhattan. Observed by fresh on Fri, Mar 16 2007
This handsome late-model Audi was parked adjacent to the Olive Garden on West 20th Street at 9 am this morning in a No Standing Zone. At first glance, this Court Clerk permit looks real enough. But then there's that nice phrase, partially covered up (of course) at bottom: "This Vehicle Is On Official Association". The expiration date is conveniently obscured—can you imagine, covering up the expiration date of a fake permit? Happens every day. Court permits are some of the most abused in Manhattan, even when they are real, because they confer very convenient parking privileges. I'll omit the story of the friendly retired old fellow I used to see twice a week using the court permit his adult child gave to him. Heck, when your nation's top law enforcement officer is a crook, what can you expect of your court officers? After all, it's really convenient when there's sleet and snow to park in a No Standing except loading/unloading zone, even if you have NJ plates.
