First, do no harm
East 21st street and grammarcy park east, Manhattan. Observed by lawandorder on Mon, Oct 13 2008
This driver was a real piece of work -- parked in front of a fire hydrant, and his/her dashboard festooned with all sorts of placards, stickers and whatnot, as if they were talismans attempting to ward off the evil Traffic Enforcement gods. They included:
* Handicapped placard: not valid for parking in front of hydrants
* Cabrini Physician placard: not valid on this street, sorry
* HHC placard: again, you don't get to park in front of a hydrant with this
* various Fraternal Order of Police and semi-official-looking NYPD stickers, all of which mean zilch
And please don't tell me this person was on an emergency call -- this car is here everyday.
