This Ford Suburban is parked here so much he is regular on street view of Google maps for "9005 56th Ave, Elmhurst, NY 11373". Jaywalking is so common that a jaywalker is also represented on the street view. Three cheers for effective police presence!

Permit Placards used to endanger kids and other motorists so they can shop
9005 56th Avenue, Elmhurst, NY 11373, Queens. Observed by hiyall on Sun, Jun 22 2008
Adjacent to school facility, malls and right smack dab in the middle of merging traffic from 2 high volume streets that support mall traffic from the 2 near by malls, as well as, bleed off traffic from Queens Blvd.
Cars parked here create blind spot in the middle of this merging traffic flow - impairing driver vision. This is a safety hazard and even handicapped permits are specifically prohibited from parking which would be a safety hazard.

Providing Homeless New Yorkers with free Parking
2nd Avenue and E. 3rd street, NE corner, Manhattan. Observed by legalparker on Tue, Mar 20 2007
Project Renewal owns a number of vans. Their permits allow them to park for up to 1 hour at a meter without paying. The meters on 2nd Avenue are in effect until 10:00 PM. These vans are routinely parked in the afternoon and left overnight. Some days they do not move. They are routinely parked on a Friday afternoon and not moved until the following Monday. They do not move for street cleaning which happens Monday through Saturday on 2nd Avenue. How are the local businesses supposed to earn the tax money which funds Project Renewal if the meters do not turn over for cars to use? Traffic agents will not ticket these, even when the violation is pointed out to them.

Greenwich St. at Carlisle, Manhattan. Observed by smeeglereegle on Wed, Mar 07 2007
The streets here are so narrow, and now some guy on "official" business is blocking the street further. The permit has a 3 hour limit, but judging by the windshield covered with snow, he has been here alot longer.
