This situation needs some Corrections!
perry avenue and holt place, Bronx. Observed by norwoodcitizen on Fri, Jun 25 2010
The Dirty Five-Two apparently will not ticket their buddies from the Department of Corrections, either.
Same place. Same parking violation. Same arrogant, illegal appropriation of power, taking from the community with the belief that nobody can "do anything about it"...
It is time for the citizens to hold these law breakers accountable!

Parked at Hydrant

Not sure that this corrections officers permit is good for anything other than a parking pass for the east -west wing of the staten island complex. That is what it looked like. But the "corrections" officer felt it was good enough to park right in front of 1 of 2 hydrants on the block. Great example of CPR.

There's always lots of illegal parking in front of the Boys Club of New York in the East Village -- parking in No Parking Anytime zones, in bike lanes, in front of hydrants, double parking and idling, not to mention insurance fraud! Most drivers have "Official Boys Club" permits, which have no legal standing. This person had a Boys Club permit and a DOC Rikers Island placard, also not usable here. NYPD is complicit in this illegality and does nothing despite repeated 311 calls.

Why does a civilian in the Department of Corrections' Department of Education on Rikers Island get away with parking in a No Parking Anytime zone?
