Here we have a fine upstanding member of the NYPD with an expired placard parking in a NO STANDING zone and all is OK with the 19th Precinct, The commander feels we are lucky they are at the curb.
A nice kick in the butt of the public trust.
As you can see there are several more 19th precinct cars in the NO STANDING ANYTIME zone. Nice show Inspector Murtagh.

Community board 8 was asked after the DOT inspected the area at a resiodent driven council memebers request and declared it residential. The recomendation was to change the North side from NO STANDING EXPECT TRUCKS LOADING AND UNLOADING to alternate side parking to give the residents a chance at getting some curbside parking. The board stonewallled and the street remains as it is. A street where the signs do nit reflect the use only the abuse.

The buck stops at Bloombergs desk. Unfortunately he is either hiding under it or at a staged press conference.

"Did our job" you are serious the city is the safest it has been in 15 years thats not doing our job. Give it a rest we park our cars in SEZ around the Pcts becuase the Pcts dont have parking lots we have to get to work so we can make this city safe for a bunch of ungratfull civilians that run around with cameras trying to catch us doing something wrong. Its bad enough I have to watch my back while I'm at work, but now I have to watch out for the "Parking Deputies" with cameras. You can have the city I have a few more years left and I'll take the family far away from this cesspool and not look back.

Look, this photo shows an expired placard which may not even be in the hands of a legitamate officer as it had two plate numbers on it and in fact it is parked illegally. For all we know someone gave away their old placard to someone. regardless, SEZ or not this vehicle is parked illegally and the person doing so violated the public trust and the commander of the precinct is lettting this happen right under his nose.

I restrained myself as I could have easily photographed 8 cars on both sides of the island and the block and at hydrants. I thought just using an example like this would get Inspector Murtaugh to take some positive action. What would an officer be doing with a three month expired placard and two plate numbers in an areas he is not allowed to park even with a valid placard.
This is quite clear and straight forward, no gray areas and the photo quite clearly shows the situation.
