Mister 24/7

Observed by BicyclesOnly on Sat, Mar 31 2007

This appears to be one of two cars that remain parked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the southern portion of the Central Park bridle path without a valid permit. Here he is at 8 pm on Saturday night, parked in the exact same spot he has been in for weeks, if not months. He did come by to do some maintenance on a weekend once (see the linked video below), but the car has not moved:

The Central Park precinct has my thanks for shooing away most of the other parking abusers over the two weeks since this site went live. All the LE who like to crow that there will never be parking reform in this spot can just learn to deal with it. Or, if it makes you feel better, you can post untrue comments about how there has been (and will be) no parking reform in this spot.

Steve your starting to cry fire far too often in a place that has no fire. If you do this over and over again the people who care will stop believing in you. This car is parked in a precinct lot that just happens to be in the park. What they do within their lot is their own business and you have taken it upon yourself to try to change this. It is like complaining about how many cars I have in my private driveway. In the end you have no say on what goes on in a private Police lot.
Sorry Steve but you are sounding like a broken record and on this one point I will not back you up.

#10, thanks but I don't need your backup (and contrary to your suggestion, I think my credibility is enhanced by the fact that I remove posts when I find I've got the facts wrong). While this may be an SEZ for the CP Precinct and some Parks employees, that does not entitle anyone with an expired 2005 placard to park their car 24/7 here. It's not your or CPP's private driveway, its a park and there there are no boundaries to indicate where the SEZ ends and the park begins. I consider it my business if CPP fails to enforce the rules here, as CPP apparently is continuing to do in the case of this guy.

I recogize that voice anywhere from Steve's videos. Last summer Steve was arrested for soliciting in the rambles area of Central Park. This would explain his obsession with the cops of CPP.

Steve, let it go. You were arrested for a crime and your bogus crusade is not fooling anyone especially me, your arresting officer.

Although Steve does seem like a creepy fellow who is obsessed with the bridal path, I take personal offense that the officers insinuate that anyone who frequents tha Rambles area is a sexual diviant. I visit the Rambles on many occassions and I assure you that I only go there to watch the birds. To say that Steve goes there for any other reason is an insult to the Rambles.

Stop acting like a child and grow up. Keep you comments on topic and stop offending the bird watchers of the Rambles area with your 4th grade comments.

Why does a ny press vehicle have a Central Park Permit? A gold Chevy truck, a suburban. He's not even a cop. Who is this guy??????????????????????? I thought only cops get them!
