Helloooo the ceime is the hydrant. They could have at least moved up to the car ahead and left pump clear. Comments like this should be removed.

Looks like they had enough room to park legally. This is what annoys the citizens.

Then they come from lunch and either give you a ticket at 9:01 or 10:58 for the 9 to 11 alternate parking.

When I caught this same thing in my area, I found where he was and took a picture of him eating and he still didn't move, even though he saw me.

They only make $28,000 so they can obey the law as they please? Your comments are just part of what makes us think you are stupid and arrogant.

You don't take this seriously, we do.

I'm assuming that the mention of lunch is to indicate that it was not an "emergency operation" pursuant to the VTL. :-)

Even if it was an emergency, they're still illegally parked.

Only fire engine and post office allowed.

If that was parked at the Fathers Day fire in 2001, they'd be in jail, so yes it is a crime, big one too!

#1. That Comment Just Proves the Fact that Many in Law Enforcement Feel it's their God Given Right to Break the Law for They Wear the "Mighty Shield". The Bottom Line is Those Who Enforce the Law, Must Obey the Law....

#7- Traffic Officers are Part of The NYPD, Just Not Police Officers. People Seem to Be Forgetting That this Site is Not an NYPD Bashing Site, It's Meant to Expose the Problem of People In Authority Abusing their Status. It Just So Happens that the Majority of Violators are the NYPD and Most of their Responses on this Site Just Proves they Feel they are Above the Law.

If they dont' park there, they will take up a spot that some other citizen could use. Therefore, they are doing the citizenry a public service by parking there. The chances that hydrant will need to be accessed are about 1 in a million. All cops should park at hydrants freeing up spaces for civilians. Capital idea! That's what we ought to be fighting for.

Wow! That's the Stupidest Thing I've Ever Heard. The Fact is, If and When that Hydrant is Needed, People Could Die!!! Laws are Laws for Reasons, So Breaking Them No Matter Who You Are is Unexceptable!!!!!!!
