Shame, Shame, Shame; Shame on You: Arnold Diaz

Observed by Dick Tracy on Tue, Apr 10 2007

Arnold Diaz, the famed FOX 5 shame on you reporter once again parking illegally in violation of his press placard, near the studio, not at the location of a news story and all day.

This is a NO PARKING 7AM-7PM EXCEPT SUNDAY zone. A press placard allows parking in a red signed NYP zone but only for three hours. It does not allow parking near the studio all day in a NO PARKING zone.

You can see him shame himself in an earlier post here:

The NYP sign you see in the upper righty hand corner is across the street and that is supposed to be wher he parks near teh studio but with a 3 hour limit. Fox 5 employees routinely park all day on both sides if the street even with expired placards.

anonymous

So Arnold Diaz is yet another hypocrite in a long line of hypocrites with parking permits.

I sure would love to see this pic on the news tonight or in a newspaper tomorrow morning. Perhaps O'reily and his no spin zone. He got rted faced with Geraldo, perhaps he needs to put Arnold in the hot seat.

wow, you would think they would have a deal with a local parking lot for company or employee parking. There's no need to park in the street.
I know some state agencies and some private companies park their cars in a lot.
Those are responsible actions and should be applauded.
And, what about the "SAFETY" angle again? Isn't it MORE SAFE to park in a garage out of public view? Proves the "safety" excuse is just that, bunk.

I hardly consider Arnold Diaz a patriot. He is a disingenuous phony with a gimmic. What is better for the community is that clowns like this take public transportation.

I'm impressed that that's really him getting into his clean white car.
He's even advertising the car dealer. You would think a consumer reporter would not have his Rye dealer advertising plate holder on his car.
Now we even know where he bought the car. Yep, you got it, there's that "SAFETY" angle again.

#16: only "while covering a news assignment" This is in front of his office.

anonymous

NYP is not allowed to park in a no parking zone near their studios or offices, The placard specifically states at the scene of a news assignment. That is why red NYP three hour parking is provided near studios. But of course they park all day. If you look in the upper right hand corner of teh photo you can see the NYO zone across the street. It is a red sign. Do your homwwork before making unsubtantiated claims.

#17 this is right around the corner from FOX 5 studios. Unfortunately enforcement fails to make teh slightest effort to deal with this. The placard clearly states FOX 5 and when 6 of them arte parked there it shoudl be obvious that something is not right. Agents have told me their suoervisors tell them not to touch the press or any placarded car.

Arnold is a pro cop reporter. He is given the courtesy because he style of reporting is unbiased.

anonymous

Arnold Diaz is a reporter for the little people. I commend the officers for looking the other way when it comes to him.

anonymous

Posted on Wed, Apr 11 2007 at 02:17 PM

Why would a CONSUMER REPORTER matter to a cop? He's not reporting
on NYPD corruption or Crime. He's not the crime reporter.
why would he get a break? Would the Weatherman get a break since it
didn't rain on St. Patrick's day?
When could the "little People" abuse their parking priviledges?
NO one should LOOK the other way.

Either he's pro-cop or he's unbiased. You can't be both.
