#5 "Hog" and "Pigheaded" original post but I guess this is what is to be expected from someone who is protected by the Finest Police Department in the world and instead of saying thank you comes up with such an original and ignorant post.

I park ere because I can. Who will dare make me move from this spot? Will it be you? I think not. My permit allows me to park where I want near the precinct. If this were not true then I would fear the wrath of my commanding officer. Surely, he must be angered everytime he drives my car when he goes home at night? Naaaaaaah, he does not care.
Parking is limited at all precincts and we do what we must when necessary. Trust me when I say that our supervisors are fully aware where we park and it is not a problem. Now that I have bestowed this tid bit on your puny cranium perhaps you might ant to ask me that question again. Where do I park do you ask?
WHERE I DAMN WANT!

Lets just forget that finest crap, it's just propaganda from Commish Gordon. I think #7 proves that, as well as a host of other evidence, but that's not why we are here.
Hog and pigheaded? That's your complaint?
Parking is limited by me so can I park where I want? No.
And the commanding officer says it's okay because it's an out of control force with no one to tell them no, again #7 making my point.
I guess this is near the FD on the sidewalk in the previous post. That I can excuse, but this is just arrogant.
Not only are you telling the wheelchair ladies Tough S., but isn't that a parking lot in the background?
#5 and #8 -- please tone it down about half a notch. Your points are valid, but "pigheaded" and "forget that finest crap" were unnecessary.
Also, it's easy to register for a username -- we don't even require an email address. You'll get a persistent identity, private messages, and it might even lead to more coherent discussion.

#7, you are my hero.
A point is not needed in order to say the evident. You owe these whiners no explanation but let me step forward on your behalf to try to shed some light on the subject. As an employee of the nypd I am mandated to get to work on time and being late because there aren't any available legal parking spots is not an excuse. I have strolled into work late a few times and asked why didn't I just park my car on the hydrant. Yes, this is the platoon Lt. telling me this. Why am I expected to park legally when anything goes in and around a precinct SEZ. The community expects too much. They want us to get the job done but do not supply us with the proper resources. They want us to keep crime down but question the manner in which we do it. The constant complainers could whine till the cows come home but it will not change the fact that cops will not dare enforce the laws against their own. When I say cops that includes upper management as well. How can a Lt. who is parked on a hydrant reprimand me for parking on a sidewalk? It just will not happen. The only solution is for the public to accept their fate or petition the Mayor to have a garage built for every precinct in the city. Knowing how the Mayor is cheap, my money is on the notion that the citizen's of NYC will have no other option but to suck it up. Yes, it is not fair but life isn't either.
#7's post is blatantly honest and to the point. No one will tell him to find a better spot to park, and rightfully so, because there just aren't any. He parks where he has to in order to get the job done. Lord forbid that the community must endure a car parked on a sidewalk. My advice to them is to walk around it and pray for the safety of that officer that is putting his life on the line in order to protect that community.
God bless you #7, I envy you bravery to say what is on your mind. Keep up the good work brother.
Everyone should copy #7s comments and send them to your local elected officials. Let them know there is a problem and the attitude that some police have.
As an employee of the nypd I am mandated to get to work on time and being late because there aren't any available legal parking spots is not an excuse.
Guess what, as an employee of the XXXXX (fill in your job here) my boss too expects me to arrive to work on time without excuses.
They want us to get the job done but do not supply us with the proper resources.
Resurces? You have a squad car, gun, badge, ammo, etc. A parking place is not a resource supplied to you.
He parks where he has to in order to get the job done.
NO, he parks there so he can get to work. Everyone else needs to park legally in order to arrive at work on time, so should you!

I read #7 & #10 and you tell me to tone down the "Forget the Finest" crap. I don't say it to be nasty, just stating an ugly truth.
Their parking and arrogant defense of it show a problem much deeper than the parking. It seems this is the only discipline they'll get, it's just that corrupt.
The Internal Affairs' job is to keep it internal, and the CCRB is to review your compliant so the evidence can be destroyed.
Seen it to many times. You expect the Queens DA to be tough in the Bell shooting? He's the biggest buff, showing up at crime scenes to hang out because he has no official function at such. You can't expect him to take a complaint and he won't.
I know of a case where bones were broken and they wouldn't even take the call, much like Louima. IAB didn't even write the complaint down (Louima).
This is the only place that's taking on the corruption honestly, even if it's only about parking and not just to get the cops, but we citizens will take what we get.
The foul mouthed arogants posting here are just the tip of the iceberg. These are not the only rules they disobey.

Everytime I try to start a discussion I get edited. As far as a persistant ID, the less they know about me the better.
I've had them come to my house several times (illegally) because they thought I had the goods on them. I don't want them to be able to link the postings and figure out who I am. I have to run from them constantly because they don't like my picture taking. If I tell you some of my stories your hair will stand up.
The best was the SEA serving a ridiculous summons in a ridiculous fashion. Backed up the street and chased me lights and siren, but because he's stupid, I was able to get behind him and film it.
FYI: SEA= Sanit Enf Agent. Ridiculous.

That is not a parking lot in the back. It is a U-Haul rental service parking lot where U-Haul trucks are kept and also cars that are being worked on by the mechanic for that gas station are also parked. The owners of the gas station/U-Haul rental service allow parking by their area. Just for anyone that was interested.
way to go brother. Never move your car from this spot. They should feel lucky that you show up to work and keep their property values hight.
What nerve.
Way to Go Brother? If a Person in a Wheelchair had to Pass they would be Forced to go Into the Street!!! How, as a Police Officer (If You truly are One) Could you Condon this Type of Action? This is Not an Insult, I'm Just Curious, Does the NYPD Medical Cover Psychiatrists? Once Again this is Not an Insult......
I don't give a flying frack about that wheel chaired civilian. Now that is the plain truth and it is intended as an insult. I only care about myself and my brothers in blue. I am here for 20 years and in that time I expect to milk this cow till it dies. If only you knew what kind of life style I have carved out for myself at the cost of the average citizen. I have no regrets and I boldly admit to all my indiscretions. It inst a crime if you don't get caught and I am close to getting out and you guessed it I haven't been caught yet.
to "Protect and SERVE", to "Protect and SERVE". I'm Sure any Decent Self Respecting Police Officer Would See a Problem with This, Like I Said, any Decent Self Respecting Police Officer.
Even though I dont fully agree with Justin, Its a SEZ and that is a pct. there... The wheel chair fits and so do your bicycles so stop coming around our jobs... I feel like hitting every construction sit mr. ABOVETHELAWURNOT and stalking you and your brothers....

The NYPD is CPR not protect and serve look at the side of the cars some time and you would know that.
You know, you guys aren't the finest just because your cars say it. You're the finest based on your BEHAVIOR. Using that term to describe officers who knowingly and sarcastically break the laws they are obligated to obey by virtue of their being alive and in this country and enforce by virtue of their solemn oath.
