This permit belongs to one of the many Hasidim civilians that are good buddies with the C.O of the 66pct. Every year he hands a stack of NYPD parking permits to the rabbi who in turn sells them at Temple. Those who give the rabbi the biggest under the table donation gets a permit. It is the oldest scam in the book that is perpetrated by the Hasidim community. Your best option is to contact the Mayor's office and........nevermind, Bloomburg is in bed with them.

The reason you know for a fact the it was a cop's car is because it is probably your car.
You probably always park illegially like your boro park orthodox friends with the attitude that your higher than everyone else. Just park your car legally for a change and you'll gain some respect from (not frum) others.

Actually, I believe Cecil is yanking all of our chains. Ya know, saying things just to get a reaction from people. Cecil knows that the jewish communities have the LOWEST violent crime rates in the city. This is public information that can be attained by visiting the NYPD web site and looking at the COMPSTAT statistics. Cecil also knows that he is less likely to get shot arresting a hasidic "JOHN" than pulling over someone else named Cecil. He also knows that although there is corruption in every community, there is more possibility of growth of rank for a C.O. just for the fact that he works a PCT that is in a jewish community. He knows this is because the jewish community is INVOLVED. He knows that if a cop is doing his job right, the jewish community makes sure that the cop is recognized.
