Seriously, is that alien face on the permit smiling at the general public or the NYPD TEA who won't enforce this B.S.?

They're not enforcing warrants, they're getting back bailbond assets. They came over here, parked in front of the mosque (watched by the FBI) in the no parking zone and tried to bully me while looking for an Asian. I almost laughed in his face because they were carrying FRS (toy) radios.

When I told them I was going to notify the FBI because of where they were parked, they ran away.

Red light up on the dash at the time. More power than the police. Scary.

WEARETHEPOLICE,
Do you really not care about this? I'm not trying to be flip, but I am curious. Because there is zero enforcement of permits, absolutely anybody could mint one of their own and do what they want with it. I'm happy this person isn't malevolent, but you can let your imagination go a little bit down the security risk line to consider what some seriuosly bad people could do with a decent color printer.

The NYPD does not employ PCU officers. PCU was formerly part of the DOT and no longer exists. The NYPD employs Traffic Enforcent Agents (TEA)who are nothing more than brownies wearing a blue costume.

I don't like the Bails bonds men because they are all around perps. That being said they do provide a service that aids in the work of the NYPD and therefore i reluctantly give them the courtesy to park at expired meters or no standing signs but I do not tolerate them parking at hydrants or bus stops.

PLEASE remember it could be dangerous to take pictures of permits with Occupants in the vehicle. You may be taking picture of Law Enforcement imposters as they are about to commit a serious crime. Many times men with fake badges and raid jackets rob drug dealers.

You will see these loyal posters of pics would turn around and sue this site is they were seriously injured while taking pictures of Fraudelant permits. Mcdonalds was sued for getting kids fat.

hey anon 6:43 am,
We all know the risks involved in this. Check out the terms of service agreements. Any poster signs those, and understands that they are responsible for their actions.

That said, why aren't the guys with guns doing the job of busting potential LE imposters, as you call them?

Just for the record, bounty hunters or bails bondsmen are not tolerated by the NYPD. These people usually get arrested for plying their trade in our fine city. In the end, the bad guys and they themselves are arrested.

Really? Near the Brooklyn jail there are planty of bail bondsmen?

As for giving "them the courtesy to park at expired meters or no standing signs but I do not tolerate them parking at hydrants or bus stops" this is not a courtesy, this is you ignoring the law for whatever you see fit. How about doing your job 24/7/365 instead of looking the other way?

Justin, Bounty Hunters or Fugitive Recovery Agents (Legit Ones) are an Asset to the City Because They Help Return Bad Guys to Jail Were they Belong. With this Said They Should be Required to Obey the Law as Myself, Citizens of N.Y. and Yes, Oh Yes! Even the Mighty Government Agencys!!!!

#5: I was going to call the FBI because these guys were trying to impersonate the police at a location known to them because a relative of someone in the mosque was involved in the first WTC incident.

In fact, I was tipped to the location of the most wanted car in America, sitting almost sideways across from the mosque, collecting tickets from NYPD.

When the FBI was notified, they came in a tow truck with no stickers or plates and towed it away, just ahead of the owners friends, who circled the block to make sure the coat was clear in their tow truck.

The word came back from the FBI that it was a good tip. This from a squad way above the JTTF.

So I get clowns parked with a cherry, gold shields with raid jackets and toy radios looking to question me (white) when they are looking for an Asian and I shouldn't give the FBI a heads up just in case there's something to it?

If they had parked at a meter (why park where the fugitive can see you?), didn't have the real looking shield and tough guy attitude, I might have helped them.

I know what these guys were supposed to be and they didn't smell right.

Simply put this is a home made (or ordered online) fake permit. There is nothing legit about this, and it hold less weight then water.

Back in my rookie days of walking a foot post bail bonds men always had some kind of fake permit on their dash. They were always illegally parked and more often then not other violations would be noticed (expired registration, expired inspection, etc). I always tagged them.

They are not (un)civil servants, although many do try to pass themselves off as such.

These were the bounty hunters working for the bailbondsman. If the bailbondsman get tickets we telling them we expect the same thing we expect of the cops: Obey the law.

Also: They may not be civil servants, just pretending to be, which is very much part of the problem.
