I know that the US postal service does not issue their employees parking permits. They have do not gave legal SEZs but I still give them the courtesy even though their placards are all fake. Every cop I know cuts them breaks. Leave these hard workers alone and allow them to park near their place of employment. If they worked in the private sector then I would tag them for sure but they are Federal employees and deserve to be sheltered under out umbrella of protection.

How do you know that the driver doesn't live there or have permission from the owner of the driveway.

If he didn't have permission don't you think that the homeowner would just have the car towed?

And it is worth noting that occsionally postal employees DO use their vehicles for official government business.

let me help get this straight for all you non-LE. In order to be a violation to park in front of the driveway of another person's property, there has to be a complaintant. And that complaintant has to be the owner of that driveway. If there is no complaintant, then LE cannot issue a summons. As far as the picture shows, maybe the postal employee has the permission of the owner to park the vehicle there or maybe the driveway is not functional or inactive anymore.

If this photo was offered as evidence of an infraction or parking violation, it would not be received into evidence because it shows absolutely nothing about any type of alleged violation.

In fact, based on your Pulitzer Prize winning photo, I can’t tell if this vehicle is parked legally or illegally. I see no driveway nor any parking signs. With the bogus post that “doggie” posted about the union square "violation", all I can say is...

"Bad doggie", your owner should whack your nose with a newspaper!

Steve, Efficient Streets, Salgoud: How do you let posts like this stay on the site? This is pure hearsay and speculation and takes away from your mission.

Take it down, it shows us nothing. FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!

#4 Some Post Offices in Brooklyn have places on the street for Postal Employees to park. Usually along one side of the Post Office. The signs plainly states For Postal Employees only. The Postal Employees are given Placards to park there.
