Mayor's Cars

Observed by beanstalk on Sat, Apr 28 2007

I live across from a o standing zone near Gracie Mansion. 3-5 days a week there are parties at the residence where all the "officials" park at no standing zones, hydrants, crosswalks, and curbs.

I'm tired of it. I've gotten $115 tickets for parking slightly into this zone. These guys flaunt it.

I could post 10 of these per day, but I don't have the time. here are 5.

It would be different if the Mayor was actually lived here. Now its just a convenient free lot for public employees who happen to live around here. There's plenty of parking inside the gate for any caretakers or others who actually work at Gracie Mansion.

This is perfect example of how this is condoned all the way up to the Mayor himself. We have the blessing of God himself. When are will the complaining yuppies on this site going to realize that we park where we park because no one will enforce the traffic regulations against their own. We are part of an exclusive club that takes care of its own. Our membership cards consist of official parking permits. If you do not possess one then you are that simpleton staring in from the outside. Just accept it, my little jealous friend, you are not one of us and therefore will always be summonsed when you try to park in the same manner.

GET USED TO IT because things are not changing.

I love it how the citizens of this exclusive area(studios valued at 1.5 million) are hating on the lowly officers who can afford to live in the same area. They have no other recourse but to bash them for their parking habits. Awwwwwwwwwwwww, isn't that special.

Guess these people are envious about the public servants having free parking. Talk about wanting to control every aspect of their neighborhood. LOL.

The upper crust of Manhattan hate it when the poor move into their neighborhoods.

Very disapointing coming from those who enforce the law.

I love that we disappoint you. Can I suggest you just ignore our parked cars and continue on your merry little way. This action will guarantee that you will have a stress-less day. Just accept it that as a cop we are allowed to park where we want without any sort of ramifications. We are the chosen few and you are simply not.

Cecil, Give it Up!! Your Nothing but a Thug with a Badge (That is if Your Even Truly a Cop!) No One is Just Going to Except Government Employees Abusing their Status for their Own Benefits. As far as being Stressed about these Violators I can Speak for Myself When I Say I Lose No Sleep Over these Issues. Actually I Sleep Very well KNOWING that things Will Change in Time.

You can Boast and Brag about How you are the Chosen Few, if that Makes you feel Better When you Break the Law! I Just Can't Believe the Over Whelming Thick Headed and Arrogant Responses by Government Officials on this Site. They Truly Believe they are Better than the Average Citizen, Sorry but You are Not! Go Ahead and Tell me How Few Accept the Calling Blah, Blah, Blah and I'll Respond Plain and Simple, it Gives you No Right to Break the LAW!!

Right on #12, the law is blind. Cops who say they can break parking laws because they put their lives on the line use the same logic as criminals who use a poor upbringing to try to excuse their crime.

I miss the days when people supported their public servants and respected them because they are there to help you. Not belittle them while they hide behind computer screens. I am now introducing myself to every cop and firefighter I meet. "Hi I am Carne Asada from Uncivil Servants, I support you, keep up the good work" How many of you have done that?
