Bratton thinks this is a fake permit because it reads "Department of the Army"? This is how Transportation Alternatives arrived at the the '77% of government workers abusing their permits' in their famous "Above the Law" study...
Check the authorized permits in the Is This Permit Legal section. Nothing else is permitted by DOT, Dept. of Finance, etc. This placard doesn't confer parking privileges

Oh, I get it. ‘New York TA to National Guard: “Drop Dead”. All that global warming crap we environmentalist cycling types have been putting out there about a Category 5 direct hit on NYC was just part of our strategy to outlaw the internal combustion engine. We never imagined you might actually hold regional disaster planning meetings and park your vehicles in front of the armory. Check back with us after the big one so we can slam you for being caught off guard.’

#6 Yes, but they are parked in a bus stop. Legally recognized placard or not (the case here), it's clearly a summonsable case.
#7 Again, more whining from folks who claim that they simply HAVE to break the law in order to do their job. It's for our own good folks, just trust us. Yeah, ok.

Plates should be blocked for the security of the individuals, this is a terror target people, or do you care. Obviously not. This is a terrorists wet dream to be able to find out (with a click of the button) what a soldiers address is. You people are going to say "well they park there with the plates out in the open" yes that is true but what this site does is essentially the recon for the terrorists so they don't have to risk exposing themselves by taking pictures. Who do you think will get stopped an Arab taking pictures around a military installation or a white guy who thinks that parking offenses by civil servants are the biggest tragedy since Vietnam. You people are ridiculous. These guys are serving not only their country but their state and city by being in the national guard. Give these guys a break and at least take the plates off the site.

This hero would be give 100% courtesy while the latte drinker parking in front of him would get an orange envelope for good measure.

#19, 20 - Oh my god, can you guys please come up with more creative insults than "latte drinker" and "liberal are a danger to this country" I've never had a latte in my life. Do you listen to right-wing proto-fascist talk radio all day? You guys are really a self-parody.

If you bothered taking psychology 101 at Alabama Tech you would realize that the purpose of an insult is to manifest a reaction out of an individual. Your above statement only proves one thing and that is that the insult has indeed acquired it's intended result.
Might I suggest a cool choco mint latte to ease your pain. LOL.

PS: GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. THIS IS AN AUTHORIZED PERMIT, NOT A FAKE. IT IS ISSUED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE ARMY NATION GUARD & ARMY RESERVE ASSIGNED TO OPERATION LIBERTY. YOU SEE THEN IN THE AIRPORTS, PENN STATION, GRAND CENTRAL, SUBWAY STATIONS AND ANY OTHER LOCATION THAT TERRORIST MIGHT ATTACK. YOUR PATHETIC!!! FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO BITCH ABOUT.

Well if that's a real permit, we're all in trouble. As the first post pointed out, it's vehicle, not "vechicle" as is printed at the bottom of the permit.
Real permit and the army is full of dummies, or fake permit? The last time I saw vehicle spelled like that was on a hand drawn NYS reg sticker. Imagine that.

#29: I'm not assuming anything. I know the word vehicle is not spelled "vechicle"
If you know something I don't, do tell. Leave the Shakespeare and Chaucer out of it, they never drove cars.

Again the Fort Dix plot has been pinned on hapless clowns, led astray by a gov't informer, goading them into a jihad, he tried to start. They had no money, no guns, no plans. They shared a religion and an outrage, nothing more.
