i fail to see how this is a violation. the person is obviously a postal employee, and as you can clearly see this car is parked in a no standing anytime except authorized vehicles: U.S. Mail zone. someone's a bit jealous of a USPS perk. get a life.
Sign is for marked trucks only, USPS trucks, not personal vehicles

Efficient Street.....how do you know the sign is not for personal cars? There is a unloading/loading bay for trucks in the middle of the block. Therefore the signs that are up there are for personal vehicles.

Federal workers always get a free pass in my book. Nothing to be enforced in this picture.

Maybe it's their parking and in typical fashion, they put a sign, but leave it to the agency to make the permits and they don't bother, so the workers have to get imaginative with the ID.

If a Postal Worker is on the job and delivering the MAIL he can park anywhere. If you are jealous take the test if you can pass it and become a Postal Worker
i agree. it says US Mail. i'm assuming the workers in the post office know whose car it is they work right there every single day. if there was a problem i'm sure they would have dealt with it already. plus what difference does it make to you? postal workers are not LEO's or FLEO's. Also, if it wasn't a personal vehicle it would be the mail truck so it doesnt make a difference. HERE'S THE ZINGER: if you think about it, you need not have No standing except US Mail because the usps trucks dont even have license plates or registration stickers! what are you going to ticket???? I
New York city really needs a big law suit filed against it for unequal treatment under the law. In fact I will never pay another parking ticket in this city ever!

Some states (such as NJ) have reciprocity with regard to NY tickets -- not sure if PA has it. So, you will likely be stuck the next time you go to renew your registration. Of course, there is always Florida, Wyoming, etc.

Go ahead and register your car in another state, Chief. Thats called insurance evasion and is a little more costly to us all than public servants getting free parking. There is also legislation in the works to make it a misdemeanor. So good luck with that!

#4, #7, and WillNYC,
Because we asked DOT, the ones who put the sign up. They say only official vehicles.

In my eyes that permit is as real as they come.
Verdict: NO SUMMONS ISSUED.
