Parking to your own tune

Observed by jsi on Fri, May 11 2007

Car was parked on 5-11-07 at 5:20 PM inn a crosswalk and near a fire hydrant and in a No Parking Anytime zone with a parking permit for the 75 precinct. It was parked at Seventh Ave and 1st St which is in the 78 precinct. I guess the official business was which restaurant to go to without finding a legal spot.

Wait a minute: THAT IS NOT THE CROSSWALK! The first line is where active vehicles are supposed to stop at the red light. The second line is where you can legally park. Read the law. You can park up to that line. And please don't try to tell me those two lines are the crosswalk. There are no crosswalks that narrow. Pan out on your camera and show us the entire picture.

That's true but I've gotten a summons for being less over the line, so tuff.

Looks like news vendors in the crosswalk. No precinct in sight, so a fraud is being committed, not on duty they are.

The car is parked legally. The first line is where the car should stop at the light or stop sign. I don't see no parking or no standing signs anywhere. This picture should be removed
