State police badge. Parked on Broadway between 112th and 113th street, in front of the M104 bus stop.

he doesnt have a placard though? technically he should get a ticket then... i dont think that any TEA or PO would ticket this car with the badge in the window

Parking close to someone is not a violation.

Did this guy really leave his state police badge in the window of his car and walk away? What's the penalty for losing your badge, something like 30 vacation days?

OBVIOUSLY parking close to someone is not a violation it's just a pain in the ass. i also hate this kind of crap where there's a badge or paraphernalia on the dashboard. unless you have a damn placard you should get a ticket. you are just making it harder for us valid permit holders to park. as a rule of thumb for such paraphernalia or just a badge on the dash, i think the TEA should ignore the car the first time but the next time he comes around it should be ticketed.
