This was on Broadway at 70th today. No money in the meter. No precinct or emergency nearby. Keeps the decal under the seat and tosses it up their to run errands.
I do not know about the seaworthiness of the placard. I just know its official abuse of privilege.

FEDERAL PLACARD ON DASHBOARD...EMERGENCY OR NOT..ERRANDS OR NOT..= GOOD AT EXPIRED CITY METER..

I can only hope that Mayor Bloomberg actually does somethinig abouot this and if it means that the few abusing cops have to be fired then so be it, obviously NYC doesn't need them.

Just curious since you started "Censoring" comments have the amount of hits this site gets dramatically decreased. I find that it is no longer fun so I stop visiting the site. I miss the friendly banter.

I have not visited this site in over a month or so due to this censoring..

how do you know there was no emergency in a nearby building? or a stakeout around the corner? a lot of stuff goes down in this city that people are completely unaware of, just because you don't see it, it does not mean it didn't happen... why if that were true.. I could very well say this permit abuse didn't happen, since the picture posted does not clearly back up the claim.
as for the threats.. to the admin, if someone is making threats, you should leave it and let people see how dangerous it can be to cross certain lines. you have people going around taking pictures and are likely to get themselves in a bad situation if they are not careful. besides, wouldn't leaving the evidence intact, be the smart thing to do?
