This Army recruiter parks right in front of door

Observed by IamEntitled on Fri, Aug 10 2007

No Standing means no problem for this Army recruiter, who I watched pull up and park right in front of his recruiting center's door on West 22nd Street (around the corner from the official 688 Sixth Avenue building address). Today's New York Post mentioned that in White Plains the Marines finally got their impounded Impala back after paying $860 in fines. It's a pity these recruiters give the impression they are above the law.

THE AMOUNT PAYED OF $800 SUM ODD DOLLARS, WAS FOR THE INCONVENIENCE OF THE STAFF SERGEANT AT THIS LOCATION NOT HAVING A RECRUITMENT VEHICLE TO ACCOMPLISH THE TASKS REQUIRED OF HIS OFFICE. MOREOVER, HE DID NOT HAVE TO PAY ONE RED CENT BECAUSE THERE IS A FEDERAL LAW WHICH PROHIBITS THE USE OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO PAY ANY DEBT OWED TO ANY CITY, STATE, MUNICIPALITY.

IT WAS ONLY AFTER A CITY JUDGE RULED THAT A CITY, STATE, OR ANY MUNICIPALITY CANNOT LAWFULLY IMPOUND A FEDERAL VEHICLE OR ANY FEDERAL PROPERTY IN AREARS TO THE SAME. IT WOULD TAKE A FEDERAL CIRCUIT SUPREME COURT JUDGE TO MAKE ANY RULING REGARDING U.S. PROPERTY EVEN IF IT INVOLVED ACCRUED AMOUNTS OWED TO ANY CITY, STATE, GOVERNMENT.

IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF WHAT I JUST WROTE...JUST THINK...HAVE YOU EVER IN YOUR LIFE SEEN A LICENSE PLATE ON A U.S. MAIL DELIVERY TRUCK????

I can't believe the story in White Plains! A car with G-plates in the five boroughs would NEVER get towed let alone be given a summons. There are numerous complaints on NYPD Rant about White Plains cops ticketing guys with NYPD restricted placards in their windshields. I guess they don't do the whole placard deal up there, huh?
