Despite the fact that those permits are issued by the union, if they were valid technically it would allow parking for his POV in a "No Parking Anytime" zone. Read the Warning on the back of most placards and they outline where you can park. However, since they are issued by the union just like Court Officer plaques, their legitimacy is always up for question.

Agree with you Will as to No parking Zone; this is a"Fire Zone"--No Standing Anytime.

Yes, I just realized. This is a No Standing - Fire Zone and not either "No Parking" or "No standing except: authorized (FDNY). My mistake. Thanks for pointing that out, Steve.

If it was a no parking zone Steve you still would have posted it regardless if the placard was legal or not.

Drag,

I did not deny I would have posted in any event b/c UFA "permits" are meaningless, but the difference in signage is relevant.
