And again, does the placard say 24 Hours a day/7 Days a week? Please refer to my other comment on Lawandorder's post of the DOT Sidewalks employee with the Toyota Prius parked on 14th street in MN.

Also, "fraudulent" and "invalid" can't be grouped in the same type of violation. That just doesn't work.

why are you trying to give a city employee a hard time?

They are jealous that they can park there and they can't.

"No Standing Except Trucks Loading & Unloading;
No Parking Anytime/Specific Hours;
At Meters;

3 Hour Limit

Official Use"

Enough said? Oh, and jealous I would say working for the city does not give you any other sets of rights regardless of the placecard you present - the purpose of the website. Hard time? It called accountability - when someone reserves a regular parking spot with a city van, only later to move the van under a No Standing sign once they return with their personal vehicle - that becomes an issue that affects the residents, their guests, business owners in this area.

bktom718 - there aren't any businesses within very close proximity to 92nd street and ridge blvd so since it is primarily residential it shouldnt affect the economy that much but if people using placards don't use them and look for legal parking there will be less spaces for the general public so if you want to take a low paying job and risk your life to serve and protect others then you to shall recieve a placard that allows you to enjoy the courtesy of nypd and traffic agents.as long as nobody is putting your life in danger then you shouldn't complain because the same individuals that may be parked in the no standing zone or be partially in the bus stop or be 3 or 4 feet from the hydrant or have half of their car on the sidewalk or a little over the crosswalk are the same ones that respond to emergencies and handle more important things

NYPDsafecop - great investigation skills, just one block up from Ridge Boulevard is 3rd Avenue which just happens to have plenty of businesses, Star Bucks even finds it profitable to operate on 92 Street and 3rd Avenue, along with RiteAid, Paneantico, Foodtown, HSBC, Chase Bank, the UPS Store, to be brief. Google map it at the least.

Placecards have restrictions and are meant to be used in specific areas. To be employed by the city does not give an individual authority to do as they wish. They are governed by the same laws as private civilians.

Nor would I compare the van above from the Human Resources Administration to an official emergency vehicle. The scenarios you describe in your posting of the vehicle parked only 3 to 4 feet from the hydrant are the very instances when someone loses their home, or a fire fighter gets hurt. All because someone felt they were entitled to park there and not clear the hydrant leaving little room for first responders to work in. Or, maybe its not as serious, maybe its a vehicle parked in that crosswalk you mentioned maybe its as simple as an individual in a wheelchair, or with a vision impairment trying to cross the street. Would the situation be any different for the 10 year old walking outside the blocked crosswalk on their way to school?
