I've lived in bay Ridge right near this illegally parked car...And I've driven sometimes 2 hours looking for a spot...wishing I could do just as this person.
Except I would get a ticket or get towed because there is a FLEET of 68 pct. cars driving around looking to fill their pads.

Please report this to the 68 pct. as well.

And the NYPD CCRB. No one is above the law.

What does CCRB have to do with parking? Complaints like that is why CCRB is a joke!

Yes, CCRB is for NYPD. This is a NYS Police placard. And you drove around for two hours because parking is difficult in this area. If this car was not parked here, you would not be parked here either. It really has no effect on you. You are pissed because this guy has a special parking privilege. I just think that is ridiculous. How can you complain about something that effects you so little? I mean who are you, Larry David?

I would also like to correct my last post by saying that this *particular post has little effect. That is not to say that another post with a vehicle parked directly on a fire hydrant or a similar safety hazard does not have effect.

This guy isnt posing any safety hazard

The car parked there may not be posing a safety hazard, but it still is in a spot that any car without a 'pass' would be ticketed in.

And that's the point of this website... 'Un-civil' servants.

Hey Fugedabowdit. If he doesn't park there then you will not find a spot in Bayridge. Stop belly aching about something you can't stop.

I'd agree with your posting if the No Standing sign wasn't placed there for the FDNY trucks stationed two blocks up in order for them to clear the corner. Oh, the same goes for the No Standing on 92 Street and Ridge Boulevard. So if the person is not causing a safety hazard, and the fire trucks can clear the corner than the No Standing sign should be removed. If the sign does not serve a purpose other than securing a parking spot for someone with a pass on a completely residential corner - it only creates further burden on parking in Bay Ridge.

The placecard stated the vehicle was on "Official Police Business," a "professional courtesy" would be to revoke the pass without a montery fine.
