Observed on the corner of Oliver Street and Marine Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn on Saturday, September 29 parked on a fire hydrant with a NYPD Permit from the 73rd Percinct. Bay Ridge is served by the 68 Percinct 2.2 miles away from this location on 65 Street between 3 and 4 Avenues. The vehicle was parked over night.

I mean, he's not on the hydrant... But yes, I respect your opinion of "if a civilian vehicle was parked there it would be ticketed."

Good to see Bay Ridge Uncivil servants are getting attention.

Using a PD pass or a Court pass or whatever does not make you above the law.

If professional courtesy means above the law then 200,000 people are above the law in this great City of New York.

he doesnt seem any closer to the hydrant then the car behind it.you need to take better pictures if you want to prove your point but if this guy has to go to work all the way in the 73rd pct then i dont feel he should have to look for parking leave him alone

Then it's great that what you feel is irrelevant to the LAW. If he has to work 'all the way' in the 73rd he can take the TRAIN. You know that magical metal snake that lives in the tunnels under the city? If I can take a trip from Bay Ridge to South Orange NY every single day like I did for YEARS, then he can survive the subway. Be realistic people. They didnt make us spend billions on that contraption for people to drive around this city.
