The employees at the Peter Stuyvesant Station Post Office on 14th/13th St frequently park official and private vehicles on the sidewalk. They double-park their private cars a lot too, especially during street cleaning, and spend a lot of time moving or sitting in their private cars, instead of working.
I haven't bothered to take any pictures until now.
There's also a few local residents with stolen/copied USPS placards, who park illegally with impunity.

Lawandorder, the placards are not "stolen" as you say, but rather created by the private residents in the same exact way that the postal workers make theirs by one way or another.

This doesn't even deserve a response because this is so petty. First of all its an official car. I'm surprised you don't complain about the car not having a license plate. 2nd of all you are complaining when they double park. Everyone does that when it is alternate side. You complain about them sitting in their cars, I guess the cars will move by itself. I can't see what the sign says in the back ground but i bet its says for postal employees only. Which means they can park there. The sidewalk is wide enough for people to walk safely.

I don't see how this is petty, dragonman.
Secondly, if they don't require a plate, then so be it. Maybe they do, I don't know. I wasn't "complaining" about that.
Thirdly, when I was talking about "sitting in their cars", I really meant sitting, as in, for a really long time when they should be working.
Doesn't matter if this vehicle is being used officially. Should not be parked on the sidewalk. It's not like they are responding to an emergency. NYPD, FDNY and paramedics can park wherever they want when responding to an emergency. USPS cannot (unless it's the Postal Police responding to an emergency, which is definitely not happening here, I can assure you.).

I don't see where the argument is - this vehicle shouldn't be sitting in the middle of the sidewalk.
