I saw this Range Rover outside of Coffee Shop on Union Square West. It was parked in front of a fire hydrant. When I started shooting pictures, the owner left his friends at their street-side table, climbed behind the wheel and headed for more legal pastures. if the only justice I find is vigilante, then so be it.

So, let me guess, because this guy was at the hydrant the coffee shop must have burt down, right? Safety hazard, right?
I repeat, go out and find some SERIOUS violations.
Oh, and again, that is not a fake permit, because it's not a permit, it is just a piece of metal in his front window, with is not illegal!

This isn't even a civil servant. Civil servants don't need this type of paraphernalia becuase they have placards. I bet this guy decided to chance it and park there and then moved it after a few minutes. Plus a traffic agent didn't even come by. How do you know this vehicle would not be ticketed?

You are risking your safety doing this. How about if this person is faking being a cop and pulls out a real gun and shoots you?
I hope the moderator of this site will warn people to use common sense. Taking a picture isn't worth your life.
I mean this is NYC, its the worlds biggest lunatic asylum.

neo9999: I know that "gb" understands the risks involved.
Still, it's worth reminding folks to read this statement about the risks of taking pictures for this site, which is linked to at the bottom of each page:

Okay, but once again... this isn't a civil servant. Can anyone respond to this? This is just some doofus with a stupid looking commemorative shield strategically placed above the registration of his car.
