This huge navigator parks in a no parking zone that is also a bus stop at the end of the street. You can see the the direction of the arrow on the sign. Funny but the car behind is also a NYPD permit that is parked to close to a Hydrant ( tech issue on those pics) but no worry that car parks there all the time also. I guess the officers live close on the block and use this spot to park all the time. Please not the permit plate # does not match the plate, since this one has 3 Three cars that the permit is transffered when they need to park one of them illegally. It is just funny since I see others try to park in the small legal area between the hydrant and the sign and even if it is a Mini Copper they get a ticket, but not the Jetta or the Navigator.

Where is the no parking sign. The sign that is pictured is an alternate side parking. The arrow is not clear. If it was a no parking area the sign would also be on that post. There is no law that says he can't have more than 1 car.

Can anyone just call DCPI or something and just ASK if it is ILLEGAL (yes, use those words to settle any discrepancies) or INVALID, (again use that word) to use a department issued restricted placard on a car that's plate number is: (1) not written on the placard; (2) written, but does not match the car it is presented in; or (3) multiple plate numbers are written. We need to just settle this controversy once and for all. Lastly, I don't understand what you mean by: is a "No Parking zone and also a bus stop." Please can someone do what I just asked?

Police Officers are issued ONE (1) placard per Member of Service (MOS), regardless of how many vehicles they own. If a MOS owns mutltiple cars, every car's plate # is SUPPOSED to be written on it, but that is not always effective, as cars may be purchased during the year (the precinct Integrity Control Officer is the only one who is supposed to write on the placard) or plate #'s may change for any variety of reasons. Also, if a MOS is forced to use an alternate vehicle for any reason, i.e. a loaner car from a dealership for a vehicle being repaired, that placard is valid as long as it is being used by the MOS to whom the placard is issued.
