Big Time Abuser

Observed by PSI - Parking Scene Investigation on Mon, Jan 07 2008

As of today this car is still at the same spot it has been for months without moving. I understand that he has handicap permit but this does not give him the right to park at one spot for days, weeks and months. I thought this permit allowed you to park anywhere to go to the store, see a doctor or do errand. This person thinks that this parking spot which is for postal vehicle is his exclusive parking spot. Postal vehicles can't park so they double park which causes cars to be backed up. There has been complaints to the 19th Pct. concerning this with no avail. Can anyone out there stop this abuser?
Thank you

I think Handicap parking abuse is probably the most rampant form of parking abuse in this city. (Mainly because the permit lets you park almost anywhere.)

I watch an old guy, almost daily, park is car at a parking meter, infront of my girlfriends house in Brooklyn, without EVER looking for a legal spot. Sometimes there are some, and sometimes there arn't. But he pulls right up to that first meter, and (slowly) walks to his house which is coincidentally only a few steps away. It's his own private parking spot!

Is this right? No, of course not. But handicap permits get away with everything!
