Can someone please explain to me how parking 8" on a sidewalk next to a Sign post is a hazard? noone would walk on that side of the sidewalk without brushing up against a car.

Doesn't change the fact that it was a No Standing Anytime zone

As a member of the NYPD, perhaps you should be answering the question of why parking in a "No Standing Zone" is a safety hazard. Your agency seems to have no problem ticketing people...well...some people... for parking in them so it must be a safety hazard to park there. What other reason could there be for the "No Standing Zone"? To leave space for officer's Mustangs?

I'm still baffled as to why "no standing" is a saftey hazard...You cant give me one reason as to why so you are answering a question with a question. Think about over the weekend and get back to me. My agency has better things to do than hunt other peoples cars as you are implying. Traffic agents might do that but as a cop the only parking ticket i would write someone is double parking. That corner seems like a nice place to park while I'm out and about in the city... look for my Lincoln in the future...
