This car has all sorts of stuff on dash from patches to expired meter recipts from Jan 20 to an American Legion Plate. Laughable, but effective as meter maids are give off limits zones it seems and therefore no summons likely

If he is parked over night he doesn't have to pay the meter.

Why is the agency listed as NYPD? Why is the permit fake? Just because it is from the American Legion does not mean it's fake. Perhaps his American Legion hall has a private parking lot and the members are required to put the permit on the dash. It may not be valid in NYC but it also not fake.

Once I get organized I'm going to post my greatest hits of fake permits. I have fake feds, Hillary campaign literature used in a hydrant (a piece of mail, large plaque sized post card) and even a guy that made his own reg sticker by hand and mispelled vehicle as vehicule.
All kinds of handmades also, including some that say the local pct. captain said it's ok. Parking stubs from hotels, doorman, synagogue notes and fake badges. All seem to work. Like a cross between Summons VooDoo and art.

CBA, most of that stuff is not illegal. It's just "junk" left on the dash.
Granted, that stuff also shouldn't "work", but the factremains. An officer has discression over which tickets to issue, and which to not issue, and he can't be forced to write any specific car just because you're not happy with it.

This car has nothing to do with NYPD permit abuse, and this post gives me the impression that hiyall wishes to artificially inflate the number of NYPD permit abuses.
I request that the moderators move this posting to a general non specific permit area, or something else.
