Repeat Offender

This car parks overnight at the fire hydrant every night. Apparantly, all you need to do now is use a plain white piece of paper and a marker to get out of a ticket.

The law says 15 feet and you are not in a position to say it isn't a safety hazard. It is and that's the law.

I'd like to see a ruler used on this one. That's certainly too far away from the pump for me to tag. Is that gonna be the next rule? Every motorist must carry a NYC approved tape measure that will be used to measure the distance from a fire hydrant before they leave the vehicle.

If the car were in the way during a fire, the windows will get broken, and the problem will be solved. end of story, no safety hazard. Now for arguments sake, if it were a giant fed ex truck or something similar that would be different, although they would probably have a tow truck move it, or run the hose under the vehicle. So you see, there is no safety hazard.
