NYP goes shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond

An egregious violation committed by an independent member of the media, using a press pass in your Audi to park in the No Standing zone during the morning rush hour in front of Bed, Bath & Beyond ought to be grounds to have your permit revoked. There's plenty of parking in the neighborhood, and assuredly your assignment as an independent journo is not so important as to merit breaking No Standing rules. Let the NYPD please clamp down on its permits.

Press abuse, i see NYP plates parking around the city and the drivers are going shopping or drinking in a bar,

I don't think the press should get any special parking priviliges in this city. They park wherever the hell they please with immunity from the police anyway.

ok first of all you should get a copy of the nyc parking rules and regulations before you start ranting. the above permit is valid to park in...loading zones, truck delivery zones, and authorized vehicle zones and of course, nyp press plate zones (which most of the cops take up anyway. second, did u go shopping with the person?..did u see him/ her come out with bags?..prob not..maybe they were in there covering a feature story or near by doing something that is in there realm of press coverage. dont judge till you have all the facts.
