110th Where are you? License mismatch.

Observed by hiyall on Wed, Apr 16 2008

This Honda parks under "No Parking Anytime" sign, male late teens to early 20's exits vehicle, then proceeds to Queens Center Annex Mall. No neighborhood alert was forthcoming that some dangerous toxic cloud was forming over the mall, so I infer that the driver was going to shop or eat. What other explanation is to be had for the emergency park at a school and in the middle of 2 high traffic roads merging? The valid license no did not match the license plate displayed on the vehicle and no date was visible on the placard.

There you go again with your assumptions - van is reported daily. 110th does nothing about it also.

I didn't say anything about reporting it to the 110, Mr. Assumptions. I said I wanted the van mentioned HERE! It has a permit in the window after all, does it not? But I know, I know, a handicap permit is not good enough to get on here, cops only. (And the reason the 110 does nothing about the van is because his parking, while blatant, is not technially illegal. But it still causes the same "safety hazard" as the Honda, does it not?)

You report the van daily? STOP IT! Making false 911/311 calls is illegal. The van is parked legally (according to the law). Thats why the 110 does nothing, they can't. However, you COULD post it here if you wish, because it is creating the same "safety hazard" as the Honda, and it would show that Handicap permits park just as poorly as other city issued permits.
