Police officer parked on the sidewalk in a No Standing Anytime zone.

Like the car, this cop is not on the level.

Your right he is not on the level for showing up at work to make sure no one robs you of your precious camera that you love to take pictures with. I think we should all take the day off and see how well you deal with walking down the streets of manhattan with your camera

When will you guys get it that enforcing the law doesn't mean you are allowed to break it? Look at it this way. Let's say I'm late for work and I don't want to park in a lot, so I park on the sidewalk, and I return to my car to find a cop is writing me a ticket. I can't defend myself by saying "Just think what this world would be like if me and everyone else who does my job quit!" Or "don't you dare enforce the law against me or I'll not show up at work and then everything will get all messed up because my job is important!"

Don't you see how arrogant and irrational it is to believe that because your job is important and valuable to society, that you are entitled to break the law?

what job do you do that allows you so much time to run around and take pictures of peoples cars.... you really must not have much of a social life. does it make you feel better inside that you are taking pictures of cars that might be commiting a parking violation at best.why dont you take that camera and film the crooks that are stealing peoples handbags and wallets.Take pictures of the guy robbing people or burglarizing your home. There are much more important things you can do with your camera than worry about those that protect you everyday park.

Stop the spin, excuses and threats and join the human race. You cops have proven with your actions and comments that you feel you are above the law. I suggest you try a new profession as this one does not suit your character.

Its funny..if you would have used a wide angle camera you would have gotten the rest of the "sidewalk" in the picture...fact is that the vehicle shown here is parked on an island and is clearly out of the way of the pedestrian sidewalk which can be seen in front of the car. The area to the left of the car (or in the right side of the picture) is a small vacant area that is out of the way and not used by anyone, it only includes a subway vent, which the vehicle is also clear of. GET A LIFE!
