The media is always doing stories on how Cops park their personal cars…well look at this, a personal car of an employee of a TV station parking illegally. Not only is this car sticking out into traffic its in a NO PARKING area, The NYP parking is about 40 feet east.

Hmmm. Ranters? I say this vehicle gets a summons for being too far from the curb. What do you all think?

no the parking area trhat car was in was a NO PARKING 8-4 the NYP Zone is a few spaces east

Humm, looks like a case of trying to extend the SEZ to create more spaces... If NYPD can't do it, then neither can NY-PRESS... But seriously, this car does look like it's parked a little poorly, but I wouldn't say it's blocking traffic... I doubt most cops would write it a summons...

Look I work for the media and we abuse our parking privileges all the time. The cops, the fireman, EMS and the media have been parking like this for years and it hasn’t been a problem until now. WHY? Well I think the Wasps moving here to NY are complaining about it and I think it’s a silly. True NYers don’t care, but what ever that’s just an opinion. BUT what makes me angry is the media is making a big deal how the Cops park….but they do it too. They are being hypocrites and its wrong.
I’m a BIG supporter of the Cops…all emergency workers at that. They have the hardest Job in the world. And the media treats them like dirty. The media needs to start looking at there own before picking on the poor Cops and Fireman. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones

That is seriously a piss poor parking job. if that's how the person parks, I don't even want to know how they drive.

The press always makes a big deal of illegal parking.It started years ago with jim dolan at bronx criminal court.Yet the TV crews park where ever they want and nobody has the balls to do anything.The cops give them the pass and nobody complains.During the winter a woman was hit by a car on on gun hill road.Jeff Rossen od 7 was parked in the bustop all day.When firefighters were brought to Monitiore hosptal the whole area was full of tv vans parked where ever they wanted,bus stops hydrants etc. and again nothing done.The media violates parking rules every day all over the city.A bronx 12 reporter told me the plates were NYPD and she could block the crosswalk.

they all think that. and they fight with the cops over it. I park illeagly all the time, but i know its wrong. so if i get banged out or told to move...well fine. im wrong
