Permit Placards used to endanger kids and other motorists so they can shop

Observed by hiyall on Sun, Jun 22 2008

Adjacent to school facility, malls and right smack dab in the middle of merging traffic from 2 high volume streets that support mall traffic from the 2 near by malls, as well as, bleed off traffic from Queens Blvd.

Cars parked here create blind spot in the middle of this merging traffic flow - impairing driver vision. This is a safety hazard and even handicapped permits are specifically prohibited from parking which would be a safety hazard.

not one of these pictures shows high traffic. This alleged high traffic, does not show up on Google maps either. You hyperbole more than a courtroom drama.

It is if the government says it is. You private citizens saw to that. You want the government to start yielding to citizens the way it was meant to, then you should start studying up on the Constitution and seeing just how many of your rights you have given up already.

for example, the NYPD makes it very hard for a citizen to get a full carry gun permit... that is highly illegal. but they don't just say no, they know they can't, so they give you a million flaming hoops to jump through to try to discourage you from exercising your 2nd amendment right.

Government says they can park there, so the discussion is over. if a summons issuer wants to ticket these vehicles they will, but they won't.

Commandocivility - you could likely benefit from a review of fundamental American civics. Legislative branch passes laws, executive branch (NYPD) enforces laws and Judicial branch oversees constitutionality and adjudicates laws. In this case, the executive branch has seized powers (selective nonenforcement for benefit of a class of people based on their employment with little regard for the public safety of others) that negates the laws passed. The other 2 branches should step in and bring the problem child back into line. ACLU where are you?

This nonenforcement is organized and enforced by policies both passive and active. There have even been sanctions against those who have issued summons to high enough ranking "officials". This is corrupt at its core and is corrosive to the entire organization's integrity. Folks who get used to breaking small laws, covering up for themselves and others with lies and deception, and organize to keep their ill gains - often find it very easy to take larger laws as not applicable.

Should the public find any testimony from those who lie and feed at the trough of seized selfprivilege as credible? I think not.
