Shopping gene strikes off duty cop and forces them to break law

Observed by hiyall on Sun, Jul 27 2008

Shopping and dining at the local malls in my neighborhood is corrupting cops daily. Another few postings here today.

These acts create blind spots which endanger other motorists and pedestrians alike.

A woman was injured by auto 6pm 12/24/2006 due to the blind spots and traffic congestion which results from these illegal acts.

Shame on the cops who break the law and shame on those who turn a blind eye.

Blind spot is on other end of island. If a person gets hit there then he is jaywalking.

Blind spot occurs whenever any opaque part of the parked auto obscures partially or wholly the vision of the person blinded by it.

Like I've said if there is a blind spot the person is jaywalking.

Fallacious - blind spots and jaywalking are unrelated, granted if both exist with the presence of a moving auto (whose driver's vision is impaired by the blind spot) then injury can occur - but to directly couple jaywalking to blind spots seems a logical reach.

That's a one way where you are saying there is a blind spot. If a person gets hit there it's because he is JAYWALKING.

dragonman - you are so compassionate and considerate of your fellow man, woman and child. If you are NYPD then your actions, words and deeds are certainly worthy of "Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect" - Not!

These blind spots are adjacent to a school and mall btw.

It doesn't matter if it's adjacent to a school or mall. It's a one way and there is no blind spot. The only way a blind spot occurs is when you are JAYWALKING.

If the illegally parked car/truck/subn were not there, then no matter which what participants were present or what they were doing, there would be no blind spot.

For example, traffic merges at the point of the island from Justice Ave and 56 Ave. A blind spot exists where traffic from one street cannot see traffic from other street whether looking down or up the street. This is due to blind spots from any parked cars along the edge of the island. An increased risk to merging traffic as well as to pedestrians.

You can only make a right turn coming from 90th or go straight going on 56 st. If you are coming along Justice you go straight or turn left on to 90th. According to the map there is no blind spot from Justice. Where Justice and 90th meet is not where the cars are parked according to the picture. So where is the blind spot?

The car is illegally parked in a no parking anytime zone. Not even a ninny can see through a car. End of story.

Where you are saying that there is a blind spot there is none. If the cars were parked at the other end of the island then you can say that. I am not arguing the fact that the cars are parked illegally. I'm arguing the fact that you are making up stories. End of story.
