One of New York's finest.. scofflaws parked in a bus stop for the day.
When you are the law in NYC you are above the law.
These police officers set a fine example of what a great pubiic servant can be. Hypocrites in blue setting a horrible example for the rest of us.
I have observed this car three times including today 3/14/2007 in the same spot.
Mayor Bloomberg, it is time to take the blinders off!

He was there again 3/12/2007 so I guess he really likes the spot only a half block from the precinct.
Inspector Murdoch of the 19th precinct said he walked down the street and saw nothing. That is the problem with these special selectively stealth cars.

Looks like the bus had plenty of room to pull right up on the curb and pick up its passengers. I think it is pretty irresponsible for you to be putting police officers private license plates on this website. I hope they sue the s**t out of you people.

That is ridiculous. Anyone else parking there would be ticketed and towed. I just walked by and the car is there again. 3/19/2007 6 PM.
The commander of the precinct has poor eyesight and is unable to see this car so we have to help him. He says this is not tolerated.

As far as plates go. He parks illegally in the bus stop with his plates and 19th precinct placard in plain view You are arguing a red herring.

I think it is pretty irresponsible for the car to be continuing to park in the bus stop.

i think it is irresponsible and disrespectful for that #2 comment . i dont think you'd be happy at all if you have to park illegally one day just to run the baby in the car seat to the door or lift a heavy package and in a snap of a finger have a ticket sitting on your running vehicle meanwhile this guy parks day after day for 8hr periods.. once again i have to remind people cops are human too and they are NOT ABOVE THE LAW !! ANY !! LAW.. BEING A COP DOESNT GIVE YOU THE PERK TO IGNORE MINOR RULES AND REGULATIONS.. BEING A COP MEANS YOU ARE TO ADHERE TO ALL OF THEM THAT WAY PEOPLE RESPECT YOUR AUTHORITY WHEN THE COP TRIES TO ENFORCE THOSE SAME MINOR RULES AND REGULATIONS AND THAT WAY TENSION DOESNT BUILD BETWEEN THE COP AND THE ANGRY MAN WHO GOT A TICKET YESTERDAY AND SEES A COP DOING WHAT HE DID AND GET AWAY WITH IT....THEY WORK FOR US NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND

Well said, #6. Perhaps if NYC had the same requirement that most suburban police departments do (i.e., that their officers live within their borders), the police officers would understand how the public feels about this and would be more inclined to obey the laws. Or maybe even use mass transit like the rest of us.

well #7, maybe cops would live in the city if they could afford it!!!!!!! by the way, cops can park w/out paying meeters and in no parking zones while they are at work,court,etc.. that is the whole point of the plackard. the red car is across 3'rd ave from the stationhouse(19 pct).the way the public treats police officers these days it's a wonder they still work so hard and risk their lives to keep you safe. at least safe enough to nit- pick about a stupid parking space.

At least this guy found a spot that was out of the way.
As far as the poster being nasty towards cops, they've earned it by being nasty themselves.
I'm sure if you could check why the nasty attitude towards cops, you'd find good reason.
