maybe the city should move the bus stop and create authorized parking for District 1 RMPs

The fact is Central Park West was rearranged this year to create blocks upon blocks worth of parking just north of where this guy is parked. According to the signs there, that parking is reserved for "NYCPD owned vehicles." But none of those spaces are ever available because personal vehicles of NYPD Transit Restricted placard holders are always filling them.

So the problem is that the City keeps creating more and more curbide parking for official NYPD vehicles like this one, but the spaces are never available because NYPD are parking their personal vehicles in them. It's NYPD personnel that are creating a delays in access to NYPD official vehicles in case of an emergency, and then come on this site and make up stories about a "knife wielding perp" at Columbus Circle at 9 am on a weekday morning in Columbus Circle as justification for parking in the bus stop.
