Triple Parking In Columbus Circle

Observed by BicyclesOnly on Wed, Mar 07 2007

I didn't have the time go wipe the snow off each of these cars' windshields to photo the placard numbers, but based on the consistent illegal parking and double parking I see here (http://nyc.uncivilservants.org/post/index/493), I suspect these are all NYPD Transit Bureau restricted placard holders. The black Mercedes without snow on it or a front plate was not moving--it was triple parked. There was another, identical black mercedes right behind it (roof barely visible)--also triple parked. This portion of Columbus Circle, built to accomodate 5 lanes of traffic, was reduced to 2, and both lanes feeding from the Circle into Central Park West were blocked.

Because cops usually don't own such cars, and if they do, they drive a clunker to work
