Parked illegally next to school and 2 malls, where a woman was hit by auto due to driver being blinded by illegally parked cars. In addition, impersonating a US Army Capt. I spoke to the Capt and boy was he surprised.

Actually, this is not a DoT permit, but a DoT Agency Business Parking Permit. So it actually belongs to a putative employee of another agency -- the DoT just issues it. I've fixed the Permit Type on the post.

Again with the blind spot. AGAIN I WILL SAY IT THERE IS NO BLIND SPOT. Still with the issue the car is parked in a NO PARKING ZONE. The woman got hit because she was JAYWALKING.

Turns out, a Engineering Field Study by NYDOT affirmed the need to eliminate autos parked here. An order was issued to change signage from "No Parking Anytime" to "No Standing Anytime".
Dragonman - as much as you blow your hot air - the reality is that there is indeed a blind spot created and when mixed with merging traffic, jaywalking, aggression due to congestion and heavy traffic flow can create a deadly scenario. Fortunately, unbiased - trained engineers were not persuaded by your arrogant, self serving, fallacious arguments and recommended the change in signage.
Unfortunately, there is still the lack of enforcement issue - cops allowing cops to break laws with impunity - this is still a battle yet to be fought. Over the past 2 years, I have documented 1000's of violations by cops that went without a summons (easily demonstrated by comparing the actual tickets written at this location with the DVD's of photos documenting the crimes). This makes for a compelling story of corruption - willful and arrogant.
It will take time and a few strategic bright lights to uncover this corruption in a public and embarrassing manner - but it will change eventually.
Harrassment, retaliation and typical bully tactics will not work on me. If they were effective, I would have tucked my head like a coward and blinked by now.
So if you park at this location, then you chance that I will be out with my camera and cellphone and have your violations added to my database.
I would prefer that you would obey the laws and ordinances when visiting my neighborhood - but if you choose otherwise - then you may find your auto posted here on this site, sent to elected officials, IAB, CCRB, ACLU, and the press.
Have a nice day.

If I do park there hiyall I won't get a ticket. It's kind of strange that the NYDOT is talking about putting meters at that location. So you have a nice day.

What does the CCRB and ACLU have to do with parking violations?

"sent to elected officials, IAB, CCRB, ACLU, and the press."
You only make yourself into a target. It is more corrupt than this parking issue. That's only what's visible. There are far more problems that I document everyday.
Going undercover and acting like you are taking pictures with a small camera when in fact you are using a full sized TV station camera that's hidden reveals corruption from top to bottom. An attitude of entitlement.
I received a comment from an ex NYPD cop who wrote:
I use to be an NYPD officer. I remember my first time riding along in a police car, with another officer driving.
He ran a red light (without even switching on his emergency lights, gave me a little smirk, and said "Basically.. when you're a cop you can pretty much do anything you want on the road, as long as you don't kill anybody or damage anything.
And even then you can probably get away with it, depending on how the report is written up". This was the guy who was training me.
The NYPD does not see itself for what it is.....
