I saw this today on E 45th, between 2nd and third ave in front of the Amish market and had a good laugh with another guy. Why does a court person have a permit to park their porsche on the street......isn't the mere fact that this person is driving an $80,000 plus car enough to ask why they get to park for free? And....if that's how much we are paying our public servants, it's no wonder the city is broke.

Court Officers work for the state as part of the Unified Court System.
There are an infinite number of ways for a court officer to obtain a porsche including a loan, a gift, a spouse who makes significantly more, a lawsuit settlement, hard work and lots of overtime, owning a business, working a second or third job, having a better paying job before becoming a court officer, owning investment properties, inheritance...

Or being friends with a Court Officer who gives you a copy or an original that doesn't carry any weight legally anyway.
Seen a couple of PBA Surgeon cards pulling some outrageous moves lately.
One was on Lexington at a pizza place on an Escalade so enormous and shiny, it was a disgrace to the dept.
The other was a luxury car with blinking lights, an MD plate parked with the lights left blinking at 60St and 1Ave in a no standing zone. He had some sort of LE sticker on the plate which is illegal also.
PBA Surgeon making a house call?
Plus it had an orange EZ Pass.

CBA are we guessing that is what happen. I work with a lot of people who make the same as I do and drive very expensive cars. They have spouses that make good money. They all don't live their lives the same way as I do. They all don't have the expenses I have. I can't afford that type of car. But I also don't begrudge them either like the people who comment on this web site.

No problem with the kind of car anyone drives, but to include free parking with it? No way!

Alsivi: If you look at other posts made on this site there is a lot reference made on the make of a car. They don't seem to realize that maybe just maybe their spouse makes more than they do. I have stated on this web site numerous times that if they park where you can't park it leaves a spot for you. I believe the NYPD,FDNY and other agencies that risk their lives for the public should have perks. They don't get bonuses at the end of the year like most private firms do. They don't get paid any where near what they should get paid. They also don't realize that if they do get a ticket it will get pulled. They will not have pay the ticket.

And what danger does a PBA surgeon encounter at a luxury high rise that he had to run into the building and leave his (illegal?) emergency lights going in a no standing zone?
If it was such an emergency where were the other units? This was a permit from a private organization, what was this guy doing with an orange EZ Pass?
A far as the make of car, we never see this type of ID on say a 1977 Volare. It's always a car that is out of league with the salary of those you say are the heroes.
It's always on the kind of car you shouldn't own unless you can pay for parking.

CBA, what are you talking about? This picture is of a car with a court officer placard. I think you're posting on the wrong thread.

You people posting these photos, then passing judgement on what a "civil servant" should or shouldn't be driving is exactly why your opinions are meaningless. If I chose to, I could work enough jobs to buy/own a similiar car, even though I'd be living to support a car... it would be MY choice to do so. To comment on the type of car dilutes the argument of placard abuse.

96, I was refering to the issue of car model. I saw that PBA surgeon trick the day before. Even you would have been outraged by that one.
It never seems to be a Volare doing this, always a Lexis or similar. Like being monied allows that type of behavior.
This is a city of haves and havenots. The mayor and the cops have despite what the law says.
I think that's what this site is all about
Kender: It's not the driving, it's the parking we're complaining about.
