The cops from the substation across the street park in front of our hydrants daily. Perhaps they are wearing the special "hydrant-x-ray vision goggles" provided by the NYPD and can't see what's there!
It is not so much that they can't see the hydrants, their cars are made of a special substance that allows matter to pass right through them.
It is the same situation when they park in NO PASKING and NO STANDING zones that were intended to facilitate traffic and MTA passage.
You see since matter can pass right through these cars it is like they are not there. If you try to place a ticket under the windshield wper, it will just drop tp the floor and besides the special matter renders these cars invisible to their superiors, mayors, police commmissioners and enforcement personnel.

That is awesom. Just remember if there is a fire and the FDNY is delayed by saving you and you get hurt. Write down the permit number and sue the city worker and the city for giving these permits out.

#2 - I can guarantee you that the owner of this car is not responding to a fire. Really, that's such a tired excuse.
