Arrogance, selfishness, dereliction of duty, dangerous and illegal.

Observed by hiyall on Wed, Nov 05 2008

Deliberately pulled up, illegally parked, then placed placard with PBA card attached on front, obscuring information. Placard may not be legitimate as no watermark from official seal seen on placard itself. Note the lamination of placard.

Parked illegally under "No Standing Anytime" signage, between 2 merging streets, adjacent to school facility and 2 malls. Male driver and female companion exited this shiny new yellow Hummer H2 and then walked arm in arm to Queens Place Mall leaving the safety hazard to endanger any who passed by the illegally parked Hummer.

This picture doesn't show much. Where is the signage? Where is the placard you are talking about? This photo wouldn't stand up in court. You are also talking about an adjacent school. I don't think the school is open at night. There is also no safety issue at this spot.

dragonman,

As you know, we do not display placards on this site, and this is not a court of law.

The signage is partially displayed in this photo - partial red sign with white letters. The Hummer was there as depicted in the photo, with the sign, school, 2 malls and 2 merging streets.

I have noticed recently you haven't been showing the placards. When this web site started you were showing them. If you are going to post pictures of cars being accused of parking illegally, then you should proof it. This picture of the Hummer means nothing.

It might mean nothing to you, but it is very useful to those investigating the violations, who do have access to photos of placards, license plates, etc.

Hiyall: You keep mentioning the school. By the look of the picture it was taken at night. I'm sure there are no school kids there because the school is closed. You could mention the school if it was daylight out like around 3 PM.

Just checked ... it is dark and the school is still there.

School might still be there but it is closed. So there is no safety issue with the kids.

How do you know there's no safety issue? The days are getting shorter. Perhaps there's kids there for after-school programs, sports, etc. And the bottom line is: if the sign says you can't park there, then no one should be able to park there. No one should be above the law.

I guess they are above the law. Do you see them getting any tickets? Even if they did get a ticket they wouldn't be paying it anyway. This picture was taken well after school was closed.

Even if you dont want to show the exact permit, at least take a pic so you can see the sign and that there is a placard in the window, this pic shows nothing, how do we know he didnt beat you to a parking space and your just angry about it and want to post this pic.

Permits do NOT have watermarks on them. They do have a slightly raised seal, but I've seen copies where the seal is bairly visable. I'm sure the permit is a real one.
