#2 - why is that "hippie liberal scumbags" are the only people asking for law and order to be enforced these days? I thought conservatives were supposed to be all about law and order (remember Nixon?).

So is it law and order for some but not for those in power and those with guns? Do you know what they call that kind of society?

The Park & Ride Lot on Seventh St. and Humboldt Street will be repaved over the week of Christmas. Repaving of the Park & Ride Overflow Lot on 10th St. is also being considered for the same time. This will not affect students, as it will start and finish during the Christmas break. Money was donated for this project and will not increase the cost of Park & Ride Permits.

Incorrect. In the event of an emergency standard parking rules mean nothing. Please stop using that half-assed argument that police will not be able to arrive on time because they couldn't double park.

The same police department that flouts the law and parks their private vehicles wherever they want has the NERVE to write parking tickets to civilians !

I think C.P.R. stands for

Collect
Parking
Revenue

Commentator Calvin Trillin says he's written the first "parking novel." It's set in New York. But after a book tour brought him face to face with people all over the country who had parking stories of their own, he concedes that Manhattan is only one of many places where it's hard to park. (2:45) Trillin's book, Tepper Isn't Going Out, is published by Random House.

A friend of mine had to go to the hospital when a cop car with no siren on, driving the wrong way, nocked his elbow, in chinatown.
