I do no care for what all the jealous nay sayers are spouting. I thank all the people who extend firemen professional courtesy. Keep up the good work and ignore the comments of the jealous populace of this ungreatful city.
This car is parked Legally, Legally, Legally.
Ah, I forgot, I'm supposed to be jealous of these law-breakers! Not sure how, since you couldn't pay me to drive a car, much less this hunk of metal, in the city.
I think I'll waive a worthless piece of paper while standing in the middle of the street. Same thing. So yeah, dude? - completely and totally illegal.
Just leave him alone, you can walk by. He has a difficult job. They work 24 hour shifts and can't just come out and move the vehicle here and there. Again with my cyclist argument you should be biking on the street so this shouldn't affect you.
Why does this site even exist? Why would anyone spend even 5 brain cells to bother to complain about some dumb parking "violations"? The policemen and firemen who park in these areas normally prohibited for regular citizens are there because they HAVE TO park close to work. Lt.s have to be able to travel from one firehouse to another to fill in on a moment's notice, that is why the placards are ollated to them. And even if from time to time they are used in other areas apart from the surrounding areas of the firehouses they work in, so what? If these brave people are willing to work round-the-clock, in filth, muck, and mire, in nightmarish situations you'll never have to fathom, then what's wrong with a little professional curteousey? Turning a blind eye is the least they deserve from a city whom they have lived and died to serve.
Yeah, they HAVE to park in bus stops, in front of fire hydrants, on sidewalks, etc. Oh, how my heart breaks! They have a tough job, so cops and firefighters get to break whatever law they please and anytime, anywhere, even if they're not actually cops or firefighters! It's simply the LEAST we can do for them!

If he has a placard then his actions are perfectly legal within his self enforcement area. He is parked in front of his station house for god sakes.
