34th Precinct parked at hydrant 129 blocks away

This minivan with a 34th Precinct (179th St and north) permit is parked right in front of a hydrant on 50th St, a good 129 blocks away from the 34th Precinct.

The permit is still valid. They can park anywhere. What about the other car that is parked there as well?

False -- Restricted placards are not valid anywhere the driver wishes. That's why they are called "restricted".

Did they get a ticket? The answer is as usual NO. So I guess it is valid anywhere.

Sorry about the crappy picture, but the hydrant is actually BEHIND the minivan, so the "other car" is nowhere near it.
