What official business does a Bronx Court Section permit bearer has in the lower east side? regardless, that doesnt give this person right to park at the hydrant.
Oiseau,
Please stop making comments about donuts. We don't want this kind of thing on the site.
It makes an otherwise valuable comment one that we will delete.

The Court permits have come (two to one) up now more than any other permit. From what I've seen on your site these cars are all parked illegally,,..?
Where do we look to once and for all to see were these cars can park. According to the chart it's nowhere but spots maked for Court officers.

I take equal offense to people calling concerned citizens "libs" as much as the donut and pig comments - this site has no place for either side. That's just childish and makes your comments irrelevant.
I am liberal, but I have family and friends in all aspects of law enforcement and can see both sides of this issue. I support the cops if their contract states that there should be parking provided for them, but I do not support their right to park illegally and unsafely.
Sorry to burst your bubble #6, but D832MA is not a valid court officer placard. It appears that either its a homemade deal or the person posting the pic is reading the green paper in the window. i have a feeling its NYPD as there is no designation on the CO placard as to the command.
Hey moderator, how about some verification of the photos and correctly placing the blame where it belongs?

How many municipal workers live more than a few miles from their employment and need to drive to work? This city would have a better future if we could get these municipal workers to take public transportation. The problem is the rents/home prices have skyrocketed so high they cant afford to live within a reasonable distance and must drive from all reaches of the tristate region.
What is the alternative? Raises for these people? Not reasonable! I suggest free ridership. We could use more armed law enforcement in the subways and buses and these subways and buses are going that way anyway.
I've known more then a few cops that use mass transit to get to work, upsate, LI, the five boros. All had one thing in common... inside jobs that enabled them to work the same hrs every day with no threat of last minute overtime due to an arrest.
Good catch, devilsadvocate. I appreciate it. In the close-up of the permit, it's true that it's an NYPD self-enforcement zone plaque.

IF YOU ARE SOOOO CONCERNED ABOUT THE PEOPLE OF NYC WHY NOT WORK WITH THOSE WHO REALLY HELP THE PEOPLE IN THIS CITY, WHO PHYSICALLY PUT YHERE LIVES AT RISK FOR OTHERS BEFORE THEIR OWN SAFETY AND PROVIDE PROPER PARKING FOR THEM? INSTEAD OF USING POLITICAL INTIMIDATION TO HURT POLICE OFFICERS FIRE FIGHTERS ETC...,WHOSE ONLY CRIME IS COMING TO WORK, WHY NOT PUSH FOR PROPER PARKING FOR US? YOU ALSO MIGHT WANT TO THINK ABOUT SHOWING SOME CONSIDERATION WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR MASSED BIKE EVENTS! PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES DEPEND ON EMERGENCY VEHICLES RESPONDING TO CALLS FOR HELP FROM SERIOUS LIFE THREATENING SITUATIONS CANNOT RECEIVE THAT HELP BECAUSE WE ARE TIED UP IN YOUR TRAFFIC MESS!ALL BECAUSE A FEW HUNDRED PEOPLE WHO ARE SELFISH AND HAVE NO RESPECT / CONSIDERATION FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP! I ONLY HOPE GOD FORBID THAT IF YOU ARE IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU NEED HELP IN A REAL EMERGENCY, HELP CAN COME IN TIME! OH AND BICYCLISTS, SKATE BOARDERS & IN LINE SKATERS ARE HELD TO THE SAME TRAFFIC RULES AS MOTOR VEHS!YOU MIGHT WANT TO REMEMBER THAT!

And how do you have any idea what type of business the driver of this vehicle was involved with... very arrogant.

#1 - what's arrogant (and dangerous) is the parking in front of a hydrant.

#1, it's obviously monkey business. No reason for a Bronx court officer to be in this spot.

Oiseau,
Agreed. I'm trying to catch all those negative comments as well. Let me know where I'm missing them.

I wish there was an easy solution.
