Crosby Merchant,

The boxes and lines are a lot of work but for this site to effectively FOIL these scofflaws you have to shoot the indivdual cars and placards.

I have never had such a low felling of NYC as I do now. This place truly is acess pool of corruption and the mayor is a charlaton.

So, we shouldn't have movie shoots?

These cars are illegaly parked and double so as the street had been designated this day for a film shoot. The point is these court officers see themselves completly above the law. If this had been any regular citizens car it would have been ticketed and towed.

Clarification for #2,#4 and #6. I posted this originally as something like "free movie props", "good luck mr.director." I was trying to be sarcastic, but I guess that didn't work out. What is going on here is Court officers breaking the law in several ways, empowered with their Union Issued placards. This is systematic abuse of the Howard Street Merchants, this street is chronically blocked because
loading and unloading occurs in the middle of the street. It seems like the NYPD would want to enforce the law on these folks to protect the integrity of real placards.

So if someone decides to shoot a movie we all have to make way. That is just arrogant and inexcusable. They make millions of dollars on these films. They should pay to have these cars parked legally.

Sure this site is going after guys and gals making just enough to be considered the lowest rung of middle class, who can't even afford to live in Manhattan but have to commute here every day. And you break their shoes with your petty parking pictures.
Pick a fight with the big guys and go after the millionaires and management who really have taken over and priced out the civil servant.

Where were these guys when Ford told the city to go "Drop Dead" and the crack wars made most of Brooklyn and the Bronx look like a scene from a horror movie. Yeah I'll ride my bike around the city and take pictures of civil servants parking around there places of employment.

Put on a uniform and see what it is like to be a real man!

It seems that most comments from the citizens pointing out the NYPDs lack of enforcement are falling on deaf ears. I would just like to see even enforcement of the law applied. There is no excuse for someone in law enforcement to break the law. Putting on a uniform comes with a pledge to uphold the law.
